I wish to begin this study with quoted words from various theologians, who some are very well known
others maybe not,But my major point is people are following traditions simply because that just what they have been told which
brings up another good point that SELF STUDY isnt done anymore BEREANS type people even those praised in the Bible seem to
have also faded away.
After we hear what these quotes have to say,I will at the end of this point out various scriptures
that say THESE VERY THINGS were already foretold by the prophets & MESSIAH himself.
James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89.
But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing
the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify."
Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174.
Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has
power to institute festivals of precept?
"Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in
which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the
week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority."
John Laux, A Course in Religion for Catholic High Schools and Academies (1936), vol. 1, P. 51.
Some theologians have held that God likewise directly determined the Sunday as the day of worship in
the New Law, that He Himself has explicitly substituted the Sunday for the Sabbath. But this theory is now entirely abandoned.
It is now commonly held that God simply gave His Church the power to set aside whatever day or days she would deem suitable
as Holy Days. The Church chose Sunday, the first day of the week, and in the course of time added other days as holy days."
Daniel Ferres,ed.,Manual of Christian Doctrine (1916), p.67.
Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days?
Answer. By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants
allow of, and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded
by the same Church.'
James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore (1877-1921), in a signed letter.
Question: Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments?Answer: I answer
yes.
Question: Is Sunday the first day of the
week and did the Church change the seventh day -Saturday - for Sunday, the first day? Answer: I answer yes
Question: Did Christ change the day'?
Answer: I answer no! "Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons" The
Catholic Mirror, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23,1893.
The Catholic Church,by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday.Catholic

To Tell You the Truth. For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered
that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath
day, that is the 7th day.Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the Roman Catholic church
outside the Bible.
Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Converts Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957),p.50.
Question: Which is the Sabbath day? "
Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day."Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."
St. Cesarius of Arles in the sixth century teaching that the holy Doctors of the Church had decreed
that the whole glory of the Jewish Sabbath had been transferred to the Sunday, and that Christians must keep the Sunday holy
in the same way as the Jews had been commanded to keep holy the Sabbath Day.
St. Ignatius (Ep. ad Magnes. ix) speaks of Christians as "no longer observing the Sabbath, but living
in the observance of the Lord's Day, on which also Our Life rose again".
The Council of Elvira (300) decreed: "If anyone in the city neglects to come to church for three Sundays,
let him be excommunicated for a short time so that he may be corrected" (xxi).
Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About (1927),p. 136.
Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday Now the Church
instituted,by God's authority,Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by the same divine authority, taught the doctrine
of Purgatory long before the Bible was made.We have, therefore, the same authority for Purgatory as we have for Sunday.
Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society(1975),Chicago,Illinois.
Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw
your attention to the facts:
(1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means
go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them
in the eyes of every thinking man.
(2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith.Besides the Bible we have the living
Church, the authority of the Church,as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man
through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath
to Sunday.
We frankly say, yes,the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance,
the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages
and a thousand other laws.It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand
the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible.
T. Enright, C.S.S.R., in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, Feb. 18,1884.
I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound
to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember
the Sabbath day to keep it holy.' The Catholic Church says: 'No. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command
you to keep holy the first day of the week.' And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command
of the holy Catholic Church.Protestant Confessions Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations
have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath. Anglican/Episcopal
Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism , vol. 1, pp.334, 336.
And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded
to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day,The reason why we keep the first day of the week holy
instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because
the Bible, but because the church has enjoined it."
Canon Eyton, The Ten Commandments,pp.52,63,65.
There is no word, no hint, in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday into the rest
of Sunday no divine law enters. The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as the observance
of Sunday.
Bishop Seymour, Why We Keep Sunday .We have made the change from the seventh day to the first
day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy Catholic Church."
Baptist Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, a paper read before a New York ministers'
conference, Nov. 13, 1893,reported in New York Examiner,Nov.16, 1893.
There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It
will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of
the week Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament absolutely not.To me it seems unaccountable
that Jesus, during three years' intercourse with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question .never
alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated."Of
course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history. But what a pity it comes branded with the
mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed
as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!"
William Owen Carver,The Lord's Day in Our Day , p. 49.
There was never any formal or authoritative change from the Jewish seventh-day Sabbath to the Christian
first-day observance.Congregationalist
Dr. R. W. Dale, The Ten Commandments (New York: Eaton&Mains),p.127-129.
It is quite clear that however rigidly or devotedly we may spend Sunday,we are not keeping the Sabbath
-'The Sabbath was founded on a specific Divine command. We can plead no such command for the obligation to observe Sunday. There
is not a single sentence in the New Testament to suggest that we incur any penalty by violating the supposed sanctity of Sunday.
Timothy Dwight, Theology: Explained and Defended (1823),Ser.107,vol.3,p.258.
The Christian Sabbath [Sunday] is not in the Scriptures, and was not by the primitive Church called
the Sabbath."Disciples of Christ
Alexander Campbell, The Christian Baptist, Feb. 2, 1824,vol. 1. no.7,p.164.
But,say some, 'it was changed from the seventh to the first day.'Where? when? and by whom? No man can
tell. No; it never was changed, nor could it be, unless creation was to be gone through again: for the reason assigned must
be changed before the observance, or respect to the reason, can be changed! It is all old wives' fables to talk of the change
of the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day. If it be changed, it was that august personage changed it who changes times
and laws ex officio - I think his name is Doctor Antichrist.First Day Observance,pp.17,19."The first day of the week is commonly
called the Sabbath. This is a mistake. The Sabbath of the Bible was the day just preceding the first day of the week. The
first day of the week is never called the Sabbath anywhere in the entire Scriptures. It is also an error to talk about the
change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. There is not in any place in the Bible any intimation of such a change."
Lutheran The Sunday Problem , a study book of the United Lutheran Church (1923), p. 36.
We have seen how gradually the impression of the Jewish sabbath faded from the mind of the Christian
Church, and how completely the newer thought underlying the observance of the first day took possession of the church
Henry John Rose, tr. (1843), p. 186."The festival of Sunday, like all
other festivals, was always only a human ordinance, and it was far from the intentions of the apostles to establish a Divine
command in this respect, far from them, and from the early apostolic Church, to transfer the laws of the Sabbath to Sunday.
John Theodore Mueller, Sabbath or Sunday , pp. 15, 16.But they err in
teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to
be kept by the children of Israel .These churches err in their teaching, for Scripture has in no way ordained the first day
of the week in place of the Sabbath. There is simply no law in the New Testament to that effect."
Methodist Harris Franklin Rall, Christian Advocate, July 2,1942, p.26.Take
the matter of Sunday. There are indications in the New Testament as to how the church came to keep the first day of the week
as its day of worship, but there is no passage telling Christians to keep that day, or to transfer the Jewish Sabbath to that
day.

"But, the moral law contained in the ten commandments, and enforced by the prophets, he Christ did
not take away. It was not the design of his coming to revoke any part of this. This is a law which never can be broken Every
part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind, and in all ages; as not depending either on time or place, or any
other circumstances liable to change, but on the nature of God and the nature of man, and their unchangeable relation to each
other."
Dwight L. Moody D. L. Moody, Weighed and Wanting (Fleming H. Revell Co.: New York), pp. 47, 48.
The Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This fourth commandment begins
with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath already existed when God Wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai.
How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?"
Presbyterian T. C. Blake, D.D., Theology Condensed, pp.474, 475.
The Sabbath is a part of the decalogue - the Ten Commandments. This alone forever settles the question
as to the perpetuity of the institution Until, therefore, it can be shown that the whole moral law has been repealed, the
Sabbath will stand The teaching of Christ confirms the perpetuity of the Sabbath.
FIRST AND FOREMOST LET'S SEE HOW IMPORTANT IS THE SABBATH TO YHWH ELOHIM whom you may know as LORD
GOD
Exo 31:12 And YHWH spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Exo 31:13 "And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying,
‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations,
to know that I,YHWH, am setting you apart.
Here YHWH says the SABBATHS (including his feast) are a SIGN
between him and his people throughout their generations
(LEVITICUS 23 chp list of holidays)
Exo 31:17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’ĕl
it is a sign forever. For in six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was
refreshed. Here he points out this is a SIGN FOREVER now one might say I am not
Israel I am a gentile so this doesnt apply to me but lets see if thats true?
Eph 2:11 Therefore remember that you, once gentiles in the flesh,
who are
called the uncircumcision’ by what is called ‘the circumcision’ made in the flesh
by hands, Paul here tells us to remember we ONCE WERE GENTILES PAST TENSE
Eph 2:12 that at that time you were without Messiah,
excluded from the
citizenship of Yisra’ĕl and strangers from the covenants of
promise, having no
expectation and without Elohim in the world.
I would like to point out a phrase Paul makes very clear here which seems to be
read over and dismissed by many COVENANTS Plural because there are
not JUST a NEW & OLD there were many covenants made and once made by
YHWH they cant not be taken back or his words of NEW promise could also
become VOID if he so chooses, but one thing we can count on and be sure of
when YHWH says it,it is FOREVER ASSURED.The main point in these verses
is ONCE IN MESSIAH YOU BECOME A CITIZEN OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL
Eph 2:13 But now in Messiah Yeshua you
who once were far off have been
brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Now we have seen the importance of YHWH's sabbaths and that we DO still
have to keep them we will move on to show even in the NEW TESTAMENT that
these same practices are still being kept
Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles
besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
Gentiles wishing to keep the sabbath? and after the cross that dispells many myths taught today
by the Christian Churches
Act 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together
to hear the word of God.
Act 15:20 but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements
of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
Act 15:21 For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those
proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath."
I wish to point out something here which always seems to slip by or is not understood in the context
it was supposed to be,Verse 20 tells Gentiles coming to the faith things they must do to even be allowed to attend a congregation
among true believers all of these commands given to them come from the TORAH (LAW) and goes on to say in VERSE 21 they were
supposed to go to the congrgations to learn the rest on the TORAH (LAW) and grow in the knowledge of the truth getting of
MILK and onto MEAT.I can honestly say this coming from a traditional Christian background myself.I have heard all kinds of
pleasing sermons and convicting sermons about growing in the faith(BELIEF) or life of MESSIAH yet people become lax and fall
into traditions of men because they are instructed this is the way it is and they twist verses to fit what they have been
taught but we had plenty of warnings about this very thing.
Dan 7:25 and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out
the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times and law, and they are given into its hand for
a time and times and half a time.
In this segment of Daniel he speaks of the 4th Beast which hardly any deny is the pre ROMAN (Catholic)
System it says they will speak against the MOST HIGH (Blasphemy) wear out the saints of the MOST HIGH (Inquisitions)
SEEK TO CHANGE TIMES & LAWS and it would succeed for a TIME TIMES & HALF time
That is warning #1 here comes #2
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’
and they
shall lead many astray.
After Messiah leaves MANY will come saying I am MESSIAH and mislead
many,Wasnt it Messiah Prophesied in Deteronomy 18:15 & 18 and it says
YHWH will place his words in this Prophets mouth and to him you should
LISTEN and if not it would be required of YOU!!
Mat 24:11 "And many false prophets shall rise up and lead many
astray.
Do we actually have a Biblical definition of what a false prophet is?
Deu 13:1 When there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams,
and he shall give you a sign or a wonder, (Miracles of any kind)
Deu 13:2 and the sign or the wonder shall come true, of which he has
spoken to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other mighty ones – which you have not known – and serve them,(Serving
YHWH and loving him is keeping his commands Deuteronomy
30:16)
Deu 13:3 do not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams,
for YHWH your Elohim is trying you to know whether you love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart and with all
your being. (DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9)
It seems here YHWH says he will test us with false prophets to see weather
we will follow HIM or them!
Deu 13:4 "Walk after YHWH your Elohim and fear Him, and guard His
commands and obey His voice, and serve Him and cling to Him.
Deu 13:5 "And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams is put to death,
because he has spoken apostasy against YHWH your Elohim – who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim and redeemed
you from the house of bondage – to make you stray from the way in which YHWH your Elohim commanded you to walk. Thus
you shall purge the evil from your midst.
Here he took us out of the house of bondage we are to listen to him and THAT PROPHET is trying to take
us away from the NARROW ROAD which YHWH has given us to walk and that PROPHET should put away from you for HE IS EVIL! Can
we evaluate this as saying YESHUA come doing miracles and he taught us to keep ALL the TORAH untill heaven and earth passes?
Mat 5:18 "For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall
by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Not one JOT or TITLE includes the Sabbath & Feasts etc..
Mat 19:16 And see, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good shall I do to have everlasting life?"
Mat 19:17 And He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good
except One – Elohim. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands."
Here again Messiah confirms you must keep the commands to enter life!!
Does that mean we will be perfect always? NO,but that should always be the GOAL as our MASTER was pefect
and said a diciple should be as HIS MASTER!
Rom 3:31
Do we then nullify the Torah through the belief? Let it not
be! On the contrary, we establish the Torah.
Paul here says Just because you now believe in MESSIAH that doesnt NULLIFY the TORAH
1Jo 2:1
My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not
sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father,YESHUA Messiah, a righteous One.
WHAT IS SIN?
1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the TORAH: for
sin is the
transgression of the TORAH.
1Jo 2:2 And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not
for ours only but also for all the world.
1Jo 2:3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.
1Jo 2:4 The one who says, "I know Him,"
and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their
part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
1Jo 2:5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been
perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
1Jo 2:6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.
Mat 7:15 "But beware of the false prophets,
who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. (Deuteronomy 13:4-5)
Mat 7:16 "By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from
thornbushes or figs from thistles?
Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’
shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens.
Mat 7:22 "Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master,
Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’
It appears these people did mighty works in HIS NAME so they must've
followed him? but it doesnt seem that SAVED THEM,Do we know from
CHURCH this goes on daily but yet the majority DO NOT TEACH THE
COMMANDS
Mat 7:23 "And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you,
depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’ (I JOHN 3:4)
I hope this study has been informitive and convicting because it isnt until
we are convicted that we do something about it.
I do not wish for people to be convicted for the sake of pride or getting my Jollies,But in LOVE I speak truth
Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
Eze 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh
not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his
blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the
trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away
in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
Act 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
